| History:
The company was founded in 1948 by Artur Schomandl in Munich,
Germany. In 1951 the company succeeded in developing the world's
first RF generator with synthesizer technology. In the course
of time further frequency synthesizers, signal generators
and test equipment for radio communications have been produced
for the world market.
The company was taken over by the Katek-GmbH (Grassau-Germany)
in 1983 and was incorporated into the KATHREIN group of companies.
Prof. Dr. Anton Kathrein is Managing Director of the SCHOMANDL-Vertriebs-GmbH.
The today's company:
SCHOMANDL-Vertriebs-GmbH is associated with KATHREIN-Werke
KG - the oldest and largest aerial manufacturer in the
world and a leading high-tech company in communication technology.
Today the KATHREIN group employs world-wide over 3400 people
in 50 international subsideries and holding companies. The
turnover amounted to around 1.1 billion DM in 1999.
SCHOMANDL-Vertriebs-GmbH is 100% owned by Katek-GmbH
- a leading electronic services company in Germany with own
engineering, logistics, material management and production.
ESC-GmbH - the service
center for many KATHREIN companies - and Gorler GmbH also
belong to the Katek group.
SCHOMANDL-Vertriebs-GmbH is a recognized partner for
research and development, industry and for government authorities.
We are selling our products world-wide through well-known
companies and global players in the test and measurement market.
