Much of Aeroflex's success in the semiconductor market is
attributed to its space qualified and radiation hardened
products used in satellite communications. Aeroflex's cost
efficient process for producing semiconductors capable of
operating in the harsh environment of space has clearly

Aeroflex's acquisition of IFR Systems is arguably the most
significant in the company's history. IFR is a leading designer
of advanced test solutions for communications, avionics
and general test and measurement applications. As an integrated
element of Aeroflex Test Solutions, the addition of IFR's
excellent products, technology and sales organization will
fundamentally change Aeroflex's capacity to serve their
customers and expand their business.
In 2003, Racal Instruments Wireless Solutions merged with
Aeroflex. RIWS' broad suite of test systems supports all
product life-cycle stages, including research and development,
conformance, production, installation and commissioning,
field service and network optimization, as well as nearly
all 2G, 2.5G and 3G wireless standards. The addition of
RIWS products and technologies to Aeroflex's existing product
offerings enables us to provide a full spectrum of wireless
testing solutions, from development to production and service.
